The former wife of football legend George Best has pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Alex Best was stopped and breathalysed on 6 April 2019, close to her home in Kingswood, Surry.
The court heard how Ms Best had given a reading of 106mcg of alcohol in breath, the legal limit for driving being 35mcg.
The police had been called to a vehicle collision, following concerns that one of the drivers had been drinking.
The court heard how there had been 2 cars in the collision and no-one had been hurt. They also heard how Ms Best and never been in trouble before and to drive on this occasion was a grave mistake.
Ms Best was later disqualified from driving for 2 years and given a 12 month community order with 60 hours of unpaid work.
